My Top 5 Holiday Packing Tips 2017

Right! Its summer time and it’s the holiday season. We’ve got the summer body and now it’s time to show it off. But before you go here are some helpful Holiday packing tips!

Holiday Packing Tip 1 – Make a holiday packing check list, so you don’t forget anything. Another tip don’t lose the checking list!

Holiday Packing Tip 2 –  Avoiding stains

You might have noticed that sometimes when packing light colored clothes, they get stained. You might open your suitcase and realize this later. To avoid this happening make sure you fold and pack your clothes inside out. You can even place them in a separate plastic bag then pack it in your suitcase.

Holiday Packing Tip 3

I’m sure we have all experienced some sort of spillage traveling in the past. Not a very nice surprise, I mean what a mess! To prevent any leaks take all the lids off your lotions or shampoos and use cling film to cover the tops then put the lids back on. To be more on the safe side, use clear tape and wrap it around the area where the lid and bottle connect.

Holiday Packing Tip 4

This is one the ladies will appreciate! To stop your eye shadow or powder from cracking during you travels. Use a flat cotton wool pad and place it between your powder and the lid, then do the same for the eye shadow.

holiday Packing Tip 5

A way to be sure your valuables are safe is NOT to pack them, carry them with you at all times. When you get to the beach, you’ll probably want to go for a swim. you can use an empty sun tan bottle or lotion bottle to hide your cash. You can also use empty lip balm containers to hide rolled up notes.

And there it is! My Top 5 Holiday Packing tips. Enjoy your holiday you’ve earned it.

3 Common Myths About Success

What is successful for one person is not to another person.
I think we can all agree that the majority of people think being rich is success. Here are some common myths…

1st Common myth-Success means a perfect life

When you reach your goals, getting promoted at work or starting your own business,it does not ensure happiness. We have to remember work is only a part of life so we cannot expect to get the perfect life, with just one piece of the puzzle.

“There is no such thing as a perfect life” appearances can be deceiving. Happiness comes in all shapes and sizes.

Do not just focus on work and expect happiness, focus on things you enjoy, and develop a life outside work.

2nd Common myth- Hard work equals success

Wrong. Yes hard work is very crucial if you want to get anywhere in life but it is not all you need to be successful. Some people get lucky, they end up at the right place at the right time. This does not happen to everyone, some people will work hard and some won’t.

I think you get the drift success is not based solely on the hard work. Continue to work hard but do keep that in mind.

3rd Common myth- Success means over working

To some people think success may be working all the time and for others success might be doing what they love.

The mistake that some of us make is that we measure our own success by other people’s standards.

Everyone’s idea of success is different, so do what brings you happiness. Life is too short. You cannot generalise success, success can be many things.

Success to me is happiness and feeling content in every area of my life. What is your definition of success?

5 Ways to identify your target market in business

Hi Everyone

If you are used to reading my blogs you will know that I am a great fan of “first things first” in business. One area of tremendous importance within the world of start-ups and dare I say with any size of business – is identifying your target market.

Your target market can be a person, a company, an organisation which is either voluntary or corporate, it can even be an entity such as a local authority. The important thing is that YOU know who you are trying to reach with your products and services. Did you know that you are more likely to succeed in business when you are strategic in identifying who your target market is?

This is why a business plan is helpful to help you document who is going to benefit from using your business services. If you don’t have a business plan you need one!

In the meantime here are 5 important questions which may help you when you consider identifying your target market:

Target market

  1. Who am I selling to? Are they individuals? Businesses? Charities? – As tempting as it is to say “All of them!” can I suggest for now you pick one or two client groups at the most?
  2. Where are they? Do they live in social media land or are they holed up in the building somewhere? – You need to find them!
  3. How am I going to get my product or service in front of them? After all it is one thing to find them but another thing to get in front of them. Especially if you have to negotiate with the “gatekeepers” of your potential clients.
  4. What am I going to say to them which will guarantee a sale when I do get in front of them? Are you “pitch” perfect?
  5. Why should they buy from me? What makes me stand out from the rest who may be offering a similar or even identical service?

Finally, if you can get these steps right it will be a great leverage for creating a fantastic marketing tool to reach your audience, however, first things first, please decide who your target market is! Why, Because….
